Recently,with the help of master craftsman, Tony Fletcher, at Porthleven Stained Glass Studio, I've been able to design and create stained glass panels. Tony started work as an apprentice, working with his father, restoring church windows. A tradition, he still continues, to this day.

The huge range of coloured glass and textures makes it a wonderful, art-form to pursue. Artists, in the past have experimented with the medium, and some, very successfully.

Recently, the artist, Brian Clarke has shown how stained glass can be used in a modern way. Take a look at the Stamford Cone in the U.S.A. The artist, John Piper designed windows for Coventry Cathedral after the Second World War. Patrick Heron's window in the entrance to Tate Gallery, St Ives, Cornwall, gives me a buzz, when I regularly visit the gallery.
